Built circa 1873, the "Lion House" has undergone extensive renovations in order to offer the modern amenities of today while keeping the stately grace of yesteryear.

This grand home has also served its community well as both a boarding house and a refuge for the homeless after The Great Windsor fire of 1897. Jon and Kelly are proud to be the 14th owners of this wonderful home opening the B&B with a 4 ½ star accommodation with Canada Select.

The grand entrance of the Hollow welcomes you with century-old grace and elegance. The 12 foot high ceilings, original historic plaster crown mouldings, and dramatic sweeping staircase bring you back to a time of beauty and reflection.

Once you have registered with us at the front desk we will be sure to take through the home and tell you about its rich history and the wonderful town of Windsor and all that you can do while visiting with us. we have maps and brochures to help you plan your stay.

The front parlour is also known as the Sherry Room and is your living room while you stay with us at the Hollow. We like to insure our guests privacy and so this is your own space to use as you like. Enjoy the high bookcases filled with books, games and DVDs. You will also find a desk/work area complete with a computer and internet services. Should you need anything printed or faxed please do not hesitate to ask as we can provide those services as well!

In evening sit back in one of the large high back chairs and listen to soft jazz music as we serve complimentary beverages and snacks between 7 - 8pm. Art work is displayed around the room for your viewing and is also available for purchase. Feel free to bring your own beverage of choice and enjoy it in the Sherry room or even on the covered front deck as you enjoy the late afternoon sun.

The formal dinning room is where you will enjoy your breakfast. There is a menu provided in your room with several hot options for you to choose from and there is also a generous selection of continental choices while you wait for your meal. Enjoy the lovely ceiling murals which have recently been restored while enjoy your breakfast. Soft music plays in the background for your enjoyment and the table is set with fine china, quality coffee, and fresh flowers to start your day off right.

This grand room also houses many original paintings for viewing and for sale as it doubles as Kelly's gallery. This combination of old elegance and modern contemporary art allow of a unique dining experience. Breakfast is served each morning between 7 - 9am - you choose the time when you make your menu choices the night before.
